Voiclee

Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 23, 2026  ·  Last updated: June 23, 2026

1 Introduction

Voiclee is a voice-first reminder app developed by an independent developer. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App handles, why, and how it is kept.

The short version: we don't collect personal data ourselves. We run no servers, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. The only third-party processor we use is RevenueCat, and only to handle the optional one-time Pro purchase — described in detail below.

This policy applies to the Android version and the upcoming iOS version of the App. By using the App you agree to the practices described here.

2 Our Privacy Principle

Voiclee is built to be privacy-first and offline-capable:

3 Voice Input & Voice Notes

Microphone & voice input

The App requests microphone access (RECORD_AUDIO) so you can create reminders by speaking — this is the core function of the app.

Your speech is transcribed entirely on your device using the operating system's built-in speech recognition (Android SpeechRecognizer / iOS Speech framework). That on-device recognition is provided and governed by the platform vendor's own policies:

No audio from voice input is ever sent to us or to any third party. The microphone is active only while you are actively recording; it is never used in the background, and nothing is captured without your explicit action.

Voice notes

You can optionally attach an audio voice note to a reminder. When you do, the audio file is saved only in the App's private storage on your device. It is never uploaded or shared, and it is permanently deleted when you delete the task or uninstall the App.

You can revoke microphone permission at any time in your device settings. Without it, voice input and voice notes are unavailable, but you can still manage reminders manually.

4 In-App Purchases (Pro)

Voiclee offers a single one-time Pro purchase. The purchase is processed through RevenueCat (a third-party purchase-management service) and the Google Play Billing system.

To validate your purchase and let you restore it after a reinstall or on a new device, RevenueCat receives:

We never receive — and never give RevenueCat — your name, email address, or payment-card details. Payment is handled entirely by Google Play; we never see your card or billing information.

This is the one place where data is shared with an external service. Their handling is governed by:

5 Internet Use

The App requests internet permission for exactly two reasons:

No personal data and no task content is ever transmitted over the internet by the App.

6 Local Notifications

The App schedules reminder notifications locally on your device (this requires notification and exact-alarm permissions). It uses a boot receiver only to re-schedule your existing reminders after the device restarts, so they aren't lost on reboot. No data is collected by this process.

7 Calendar

The App can optionally hand a task off to your calendar app by opening a pre-filled "new event" screen (an Android insert intent). Voiclee does not request calendar permissions and does not read, write, sync, or track any calendar data. It simply passes the task's title and time to whatever calendar app you choose, one time, at your request. Whether you save the event is entirely up to you, in that app.

8 Text-to-Speech (Daily Briefing)

The optional Daily Briefing reads your tasks aloud using your device's built-in text-to-speech engine. No audio and no task data leaves your device as part of this feature.

9 Backup, Export, Import & Sharing

You are in full control of your data and can take it with you:

This is always user-initiated. Once you export or share a file, it leaves Voiclee's control and is governed by wherever you choose to send it (for example, your cloud storage, files app, or email). We never see or receive that file.

10 Data Storage & Retention

We do not operate any servers or databases. All app data — reminders, voice notes, and settings — is stored only on your device. This data is not accessible to us and is not transmitted anywhere (except the limited purchase data described in Section 4, which contains no personal information).

Uninstalling the App permanently removes all locally stored data, including any voice note recordings.

11 Permissions We Request and Why

12 Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal data from children. Because we collect no personal data ourselves, there is no risk of inadvertent collection from minors.

13 Your Rights

Your data stays under your control at all times:

Because we don't hold your personal data on our end, there is nothing on our servers for you to access, correct, or delete.

14 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
